SUMMARY

Responsible for engineering and securing real-time communication networks. The engineer will be responsible for designing and deploying Ribbon-based real-time communication networks with a special focus on integrating and securing network access using Ribbon Session Border Controllers.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, deploy and troubleshoot real-time communication networks.
  • Configure Ribbon Session Border Controllers, firewalls, switches, and virtualization environments
  • Integrate third-party vendor equipment, applications, and environments, if any
  • Ensure the operability and reliability of designed network
  • Document and present the designed solution to the customer

 

Experience and Skills:

  • 5-7 years’ experience with telephony/VoIP/UC networking protocols, specifically SIP and RTP, as well as H.323 and SS7
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and possess the ability to interface with customers and third-party vendors
  • Provide both design and implementation expertise for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in IP, Ethernet, and Network and Cloud Infrastructure design
  • Strong knowledge of Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks, Access Control List Administration, SSL, DNS
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, KVM, and Docker
  • Experience with IMS and mobile/wireless networks
  • Knowledge of telecommunications transmission standards including: T1/E1, T3/E3, and SONET/SDH
  • Experience in network (IP and Telco) design, data, access, performance, scalability, security, reliability and fault tolerance
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, and experience playing key roles on multiple system development project teams with a proven history of delivering high quality work
  • Experience with large-scale telephony software architecture and implementation is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix
  • Shell scripting and process automation knowledge a plus
  • MS in Engineering or related filed
  • Travel: 25%
