Position Title: Principal Software Engineer - Database Development

Location: Westford, MA

Position Summary:

Ribbon is looking for a Principal Database Developer to join the Ribbon Policy Server (PSX) Development team in Westford, MA. The candidate will be responsible for database software design, development, and migration to cloud database architecture.


Experience and Skills:

Required Skills:

Must have hands on database development experience in ORACLE and PostgreSQL. Must have familiarity with NoSQL database and cloud computing technologies.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues
  • Strong programming and debugging skills in PLSQL and SQL*Plus
  • Strong programming and debugging skills with shell scripting (ksh, csh), perl, expect, and python.
  • Experience with best security practices for database deployments
  • Experience with C/C++/Java programming
  • Experience in implementing and performance tuning of large real time databases
  • Experience in NoSQL databases is preferred
  • Experience with telecommunications industry is preferred

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science(CS), Electrical Engineer (EE), or equivalent required
  • MS is preferred
  • 8+ years of work experience
