Position Summary:

Perform development and validation of RBBN products and customer solutions. Perform testing tasks that require planning, scheduling, and testing Voice Over IP (VOIP) on the Sonus Session Border Controller (SBC) product. Review functional and design specifications; authoring test plans and automating the testing process; developing the testcase framework using the Perl and Python scripting languages; and testing the SBC in hardware, virtualized, and cloud environments. Configure the SBC and test tools to make Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and H323 calls over the UDP, TCP, and TCP/TLS protocols. Create configuration profiles to test various types of calls, including passthrough media and transcoded media with media packets encoded with the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)/SRTP. Test different types of SIP call flows including Invite, Register, Refer, and Notify. Diagnose and remedy test failures. Monitor compliance of call flows with VOIP standards. Employ the Ansible automation test framework and deploy the Sonus SBC on various cloud software platforms, including Openstack, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and VMWare ESXI environments. Replicate customer deployments in the Sonus lab, including the design of the network topology (subnets, VLANS, etc.) And the configuration of the various network elements (routers and switches). Apply the customer-specific configuration to test various customer VOIP call flow, including various protocols involved like SIP, RTP, RTCP, DNS, ENUM, SDP, H323, Diameter RX, RF, TCP/UDP. Use various SIP and diameter signaling protocol test tools like NAVTEL, SIPP, Spectra 2, and Seagull to generate call load for performance testing and to measure various performance metrics such as CPU/Memory/Disk utilization on the SBC to ensure quality. Use packet capture tools like Wireshark/Ethereal, Tcpdump, and Tshark for debugging network and connectivity issues. Deploy analytics stacks like ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK stack), Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana (TIG stack) on SBC. Once deployed, modify these stacks to collect the necessary log data and metrics and store them in a database. Create filters and dashboard to visualize the collected data in different formats. Work with cross-functional software and hardware development teams and QA engineers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems found during release test cycle. Build test lab setup, write test scripts, and execute tests. Perform requirement tracing, bug tracking, integration testing, performance testing, and live software upgrade testing. Analyze test results of various features and functionality of Ribbon products such as Session Border Controller (SBC), Element Management System, and Policy Manager.
