Position Title: HR Systems Projects Specialist

Location: Plano, TX

Position Summary:

Responsible for the development and administration of Workday HR system and applicable components. Analyzes business requirements and determines system configurations to meet data management needs. Develops or modifies program and components to ensure the effective storage, retrieval and reporting of employee data. Ensures integrity of HR databases and provides HRIS systems support to end-users.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to set priorities and conduct short and long-range planning.
• Ensures system quality and program standards meet objectives and desired results are achieved. Performs post-implementation evaluations in support of continuous process improvement.
• Oversees system testing, data conversion and implementation of system enhancements. Works with end users to inform and educate on enhancements and updates in Workday, including integration with other business applications as appropriate.
• Facilitates needs analysis and change management for enhancements to current applications and new systems. Creates project plans, resource estimates, and time schedules. Ensures adherence to project plans and specifications within purview. Acts as lead resource, HRMS consultant and advisor to functional users and other work management teams to ensure optimal operation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Identifies end-user training needs and oversees the development, maintenance, and updates of HRMS-related procedures, guidelines, documentation, and training materials. Delivers HR training, as necessary. Can sometimes act in a train the trainer role for other HR team members.
• Recommends process and/or system improvements as they relate to the operations of the HR systems. Communicates changes to all HR employees as well as management and other employees as needed.
• Configure workday system as it relates to routine HRIS processes such as bonus, merit, performance. Create associated timelines ensuring all applicable deadlines and timing are met (i.e.: payroll deadlines)
• Acts as the subject matter expert and serves as the technical lead for the learning management system. This includes configuring training content from both internal and external sources within the LMS system.
• Receives and processes complex data requests as they relate to HR data. Creates, designs and updates end user system reports. Creates ad hoc reports as needed.
• Develops, maintains, and updates HR system related documentation and training manuals. Ensures that end users are adequately trained on the HR systems. Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Skills:

Education/Experience Level:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field and four years of related experience in the Workday environment.

Communication Skills:
• Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical and other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the subject under discussion.

Numeric Skills:
• Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
Computer Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation programs (PowerPoint)

Working Conditions:
• Works in an office environment.
• Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
