  Position Title: Payroll Manager

Location: Plano, TX 

Position Summary:

  • Manage 3rd party processor for payroll settlement, tax filing, and tax problem resolution, US & Canada.
  • Compile data received via email from employees and managers to be submitted for processing. Input necessary manual payroll entries in Workday.
  • Audit Weekly and Bi-weekly payroll.
  • Review all Federal, state, and local government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions.
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming statutory and regulatory changes, US & Canada.
  • Research tax issues and make necessary adjustment in Workday to resolve errors.
  • Responsible for sign-off on payroll processing cycles and checklists to ensure accuracy and SOX compliance.
  • Utilizing best practice and available technology that is continually being rolled out by Workday to gain efficiency and minimize SOX vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate and prepare data for annual audit worker's compensation insurance policies.
  • Work with finance team to resolve general ledger posting issues.
  • Prepare data for annual corporate financial audit as it pertains to payroll.
  • Track and review all invoicing from payroll processor against contract and submit to accounts payable for payment.
  • Track all payroll funding requests to minimize risk of missed funding or duplication.
  • Ensure compliance and adhere to company policies and procedures as they relate to payroll.
  • Prepare payroll forecast for treasury cash management.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills:

• CPP is preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years payroll administration experience, preferably with a public company
• Experience with systems implementations
• Advanced to expert level of MS Excel required
• Must have experience in using Workday for payroll processing.
